Yes. Every UK dental practice (and eligible online dental provider) can claim a free basic profile. Free listings appear in search with lower ranking than paid tiers. You can receive patient enquiries on a pay-per-lead basis without a monthly subscription.

Claim your existing profile via the claim form, or email us to create one. We verify regulatory standing (CQC location for England practices where available, GDC-registered principal where provided) before the listing goes live. Free listings activate after verification; paid tiers upgrade visibility and included enquiries.

An enquiry is a patient who completes our comparison flow, selects your practice, and submits contact details with what they need — for example a private check-up, whitening consultation, or implant assessment. We do not sell NHS access as leads. We filter out incomplete submissions and duplicates before they reach you.

Free listings cost nothing. Standard is £129 per month (£1,290 annually) with up to 8 included enquiries. Premium is £299 per month (£2,990 annually) with unlimited included enquiries. Pay-per-lead runs from £30 (check-ups & hygiene on Premium) to £75 (implants & orthodontics on Free). City sponsorship starts from £49 per month.

Yes. There is no minimum contract. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel monthly subscriptions at any time. Annual plans are paid upfront with a two-month discount and can be cancelled at renewal.

Standard includes up to 8 qualified enquiries per calendar month. Additional enquiries in that month are charged at the Standard pay-per-lead rate for that treatment category. Premium includes unlimited enquiries with no per-lead fee.

Those treatments have higher typical private fees and longer patient journeys, so enquiry value is higher. Check-ups and hygiene leads cost less because their lifetime value to the practice is lower.

Yes. We check regulatory identifiers where available (CQC location ID for England, ODS codes for NHS practices, GDC registration for named principals) and confirm the practice serves UK patients before activating any listing. We never invent registration numbers.

No. Ratings and match scores are computed from published, verifiable data only — paid tiers buy visibility and lead volume, never score. Sponsored placement is always labelled.

Yes. Remote consultation and at-home clear-aligner providers can list alongside high-street practices on /online-dentists/. Treatment must still be overseen by GDC-registered professionals where the law requires it.

Many UK directories charge a small annual fee for a basic citation with limited enquiry flow. The Local Dentist is a comparison marketplace — patients actively shortlist practices and request private treatments, so our pricing reflects qualified enquiry value rather than a simple directory entry.

Where programmes allow comparison sites, we may. We disclose referral partners clearly, use rel="sponsored" on paid outbound links, and never let payment change ratings or rankings. Facial aesthetics promotions must not name prescription-only medicines.
